Franklin

Hit and Run

N. Morton St. and Commerce Drive: A woman reported at 9:27 p.m. Saturday that a man driving a dark SUV went past her vehicle, struck her passenger mirror knocking it off, causing dents and scratches to the door and continued driving south on U.S. 31.

Narcotics

N. Morton St. and Earlywood Drive: An officer reported at 10:16 p.m. Sunday that during a traffic stop for speeding he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle marijuana and paraphernalia were found. The driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, a warning for speeding and a juvenile passenger was issued a summons for possession of paraphernalia.

10 N. Morton St., Circle K: An officer reported at 8:19 a.m. Sunday that he located a vehicle parked at one of the pumps and a man was slumped over in the driver’s seat. After waking the man he observed a pipe with white residue in it. After a search of the vehicle paraphernalia and narcotics were found. The driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

20 S. Morton St., parking lot: An officer reported at 8:49 a.m. Saturday that during a traffic stop he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle several narcotics and paraphernalia were found, the driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, a summons for possession of paraphernalia and released from the scene.

Personal-injury crash

10:09 a.m. Sunday — N. Morton St. and Acorn Blvd. A woman, 44, reported having minor bleeding with injury to her elbow/lower arm. Three juveniles reported having minor injuries.

Theft

2000 block of Bridlewood Drive: A woman reported at 6:56 p.m. Sunday that she let a relative borrow her vehicle and now they will not return it.

Narcotics

S. Morgantown Road and W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood: An officer reported at 5:18 p.m. Sunday that during a traffic stop for an expired license plate he observed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a search marijuana was located, the passenger was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and the driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and a warning for expired plates.

I-65 S. at mile marker 89, Franklin: An officer reported at 12:26 p.m. Friday that during a traffic stop he observed paraphernalia in the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle a small zippered plastic bag with marijuana was located and the driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and warnings for the other offenses.

12:50 p.m. Sunday — State Road 44 and Centerline Road, Franklin. A man, 20, reported having an abrasion with injury to his hip/upper leg.

6:54 p.m. Friday — State Road 44 and Centerline Road, Franklin. A man, 66, was reported to be unconscious with injury to his face.

2:10 p.m. Wednesday — Fairview Road and Leisure Lane, Greenwood. A man, 58, reported having pain and injury to his shoulder/upper arm.

12:10 p.m. Friday — Centerline Road and Whiteland Road, Whiteland

10:38 a.m. Wednesday — 5000 block of S. County Road 25 W., Trafalgar

Thefts

3816 Hospital Road, Camp Atterbury main gate, Edinburgh: A man reported at 10:40 a.m. Sunday that two radios were taken from a military vehicle.

3816 Hospital Road, Camp Atterbury main gate, Edinburgh: A man reported at 9:39 a.m. Sunday that a dish satellite was stolen sometime overnight at the camp.

1091 Hospital Road, Johnson County Jail, Franklin: A woman reported at 3:54 p.m. Friday that a theft had occurred.

3000 block of S. County Road 600 E., Franklin: A man reported at 12:09 p.m. Friday that his license plate on his trailer had been stolen.
