EDINBURGH
Sharon A. Miller, 81, of Edinburgh, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. She was born September 1, 1941, in Edinburgh to the late Oscar and Mildred Stillabower Smith. She married Larry K. Miller on April 9, 1961, in Edinburgh, and he survives. She is also survived by her son Randy (Sherry) Miller, of Edinburgh; daughter Tellisa (Jeff) Skirvin, of Franklin; grandchildren, Sean (Bridgett) Barnett, of Columbus, Zachary Miller, of California, Samantha (Jacob) Baas, of Franklin, and Jacob Skirvin, of Franklin; and great grandchildren Amber, Lucas, and Liam. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rodney Miller; brothers, Harold Smith, Donald Smith, and Raymond Smith; and sisters, Janet L. Smith Wolfe Weisner, Marie Barr, Doris Maxine Smith, and Helen Hadley.
Sharon was a beloved member of Christ Fellowship Church in Edinburgh. She was employed for 18 years at East Side Elementary School as a teaching assistant where she invested herself in helping countless children throughout the years. Sharon loved spending time with her family, gardening, and working in the yard with her husband Larry. She enjoyed sitting under the pine trees in her backyard drinking iced tea and watching the birds and the butterflies. She and Larry were faithful Lancer fans, attending many Edinburgh sporting events. She also took great joy in cultivating chrysalises for children to watch turn into monarch butterflies. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed by her family, church family, and extended community of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts have been suggested to the American Heart Association.
A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Christ Fellowship Church, with memorial gathering from 12:00, noon until the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Funeral Care, Edinburgh.
