An Indianapolis woman was killed in a crash on County Line Road and Combs Road in Greenwood Thursday.
Greenwood Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at approximately 5:39 p.m. Thursday.
The crash occurred when the driver of a Hyundai sedan failed to yield at the stop sign at the corner of Combs Road and County Line Road. The sedan was struck on the passenger side by a Ford F-250 traveling westbound on County Line Road, according to a police report.
The passenger of the sedan, Caren K. Gilcrist, 76, of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead on the scene. She was trapped in the vehicle and succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver was taken to the hospital with a head injury. His status was unknown at press time.
