GREENWOOD
James Keith Ward, 57, of Greenwood, IN passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born May 1, 1967 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN to Earl and Sally (Bonebright) Ward and was a lifetime resident of Greenwood, IN.
Keith graduated from Center Grove High School in 1985 and following attended IVY Tech Community College in Indianapolis, IN. He then started his career as a maintenance technician at Regency Place Nursing Home in Greenwood where he met his wife Anita (Arbuckle) Ward and were married on August 28, 1993 in Greenwood, IN. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2019.
In August of 1995, they had their first child, a daughter named Shelby and in December of 1999, they welcomed a son James Phillip.
Keith after leaving Regency Place Nursing Home, he started his working career for the Marion County Building Authority where he spent twenty-nine and half years until he sadly passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the young age of 57 years.
Survivors include his children Shelby Danielle Ward of Greenwood, IN and James Phillip Ward of Greenwood, IN, his parents Earl and Sally (Bonebright) Ward of Greenwood, IN, his brother Steven Ward and his wife Sharon of Greenwood, IN, a niece Rachel Ward and nephew Joseph Ward.
A time of gathering and celebrating the life of James Keith Ward will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 1PM until 4PM at the Church at Smith Valley, 4682 West Smith Valley Road in Greenwood, IN 46142. A private family inurnment will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
