FRANKLIN
Danny Joe “Dan” Cundiff, 80 of Franklin passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
He was born on February 25, 1944 in Washington, Indiana to Thomas Wesley Cundiff, and Lola Margaret (Evans) Cundiff. He is survived by a son, Danny Lee Cundiff and wife Angela Cundiff; daughter, Susanne Cundiff; granddaughter, Chayla Farmen and four great grandchildren. Also surviving is Sister, Shirley McBride (Jim); brother, Thomas “Alan” Cundiff (Brandy Nicole Afflis); nephews, Corby, Carey, Kendall, Jacob and nieces, Krissi, Leslie and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents; brother, Donald Cundiff and son, Mark Cundiff.
He attended Franklin High School.
Dan worked at the Dog ‘n Suds in Franklin. He later was the owner of The Hut restaurant in Franklin. He also was employed by Ponderosa as the Restaurant Manager.
He was a member of the JC’s. Dan was a firm believer of God and enjoyed attending the First Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Indiana.
A Celebration of Dan’s life will be Thursday evening, August 8th at 6:30 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with Visitation on Thursday, August 8th from 5:00 p.m. to time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be Friday morning, August 9th at 11:30 a.m. at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana.
