Clifford Warren

ORLANDO, FLORIDA

On Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, Clifford Dean Warren began a new journey. He is survived by his Wife Wanda Louise (Mason) Warren, his Son Clifford Dean Warren Jr, and his Grandson Brandon Dean Warren. Also survived by his Brother Arthur and his Sister Ethel. He is preceded by 5 Brothers, 5 Sisters and his parents Harry and Elsie Warren.

Born on the West side of Indianapolis in 1939, he grew up in the quiet area of Brown County. He attended Helmsburg High School and finished his studies in 1958. He worked on the farm at a young age to help with the household income and continued working in automotive technology into his 60s, also teaching diesel mechanics at Mid Florida Tech.

At 17, he joined the Indiana National Guard where he served honorably for 19 years. His years of service instilled a strong bond to America and its principles. He met the love of his life as a child and in the small town where they grew up, their families knew each other very well. “We slept in cribs together.” Is what she always says. They were married on April 19, 1958, when he was 18 and she was 17.

Their only child, a son, was born in Franklin Indiana in 1961. They moved around the country for work as a family. Indiana, California, Arizona, and Tennessee but always called Indiana, home. In 1989, they moved to Florida to bask in the sunshine and relax close to Disney, Universal, and the beach. Their only grandchild, a grandson, was born in Altamonte Springs Florida in 1990.

He raced go-karts, and enjoyed going to sporting events and watching Drag-racing, NASCAR, and IndyCar. He loved to travel the country, stopping to enjoy the scenery with his family. He was a Christian man and his greatest virtue was patience; able to remain calm and humble, confident and strong, sincere and kind, even in the midst of conflict. To help was his goal. Always willing to give of himself in service of others.

Love for his family was his life and his greatest treasure. His marriage is for the story books. 66 years of love and marriage the way it was made to be; “Until death.” His last words on this earth were a proclamation of undying love. Before his heart stopped beating he looked to his wife and said “Honey, I love you.”

The world lost a Saint, and the great beyond, gained a beautiful mind.

A Celebration of Clifford’s life will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, August 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
