FRANKLIN, INDIANA
Carol Ann (McKee) Patterson passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2024, with her son and daughter by her side.
Carol was born June 6, 1954, in Franklin, to parents Cleo Donald and Mary Alice (Willard) McKee. She had retired in 2019 as secretary for the City of Franklin Street Department after forty years.
Carol is survived by daughter Jessica (Patterson) Barton, and son Kyle McKee, as well as brothers Allan (Bobbi) and Harold (Janice) McKee, sister Becky Ridge, Chelsea Miller, grandchildren Evelyn McKee, Jace Patterson, Tanner Barton, and Grayson Barton. As part of a large and loving family, she also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild, Brock Sierp, by brother-in-law Jack (Becky) Ridge, and niece Holli (Ridge) Laney.
The family will always miss her love and affection and skills at baking. She was an important part of every family gathering, and was always willing to help others unselfishly. She loved traveling with her sister group to Las Vegas, Florida, Montana, and Caribbean cruises, but her heart was always at home with her family.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Jessen Funeral Home &Simple Cremation ~ Whiteland Chapel followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm. Carol will be laid to rest at Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
