Paul C. Graves, 57, of Columbus, Indiana passed peacefully at home on August 29, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Scottsville, Kentucky on July 30, 1966, to Jerry Graves and Judy (Brooks) Graves. Paul had fond memories of spending summers with his grandparents travelling and selling paintings at flea markets. Paul was a graduate of Franklin High School and an employee of Ace Welding, Columbus Parks &Recreation, and Lowes Distribution Center.

Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, Judy Graves; aunt, June Coy; and uncle, Sonny Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Graves; his children, Austin (Dessica Coomer) Graves and Jadea Graves; grandchildren, Astrid Graves, Hazel Graves, and Zhoie Perry; his father, Jerry Graves; his in-laws, Jim &Judy Goddard; his sister, Anita (Larry) King; nieces, Rachel and Rebecca King; nephew, Michael King; uncles, Joe Brooks, Gordon Tuttle and Gerald Tuttle, and many more friends and family. He is also survived by his beloved bulldog, Remington.

Paul enjoyed many things. He liked collecting guns, classic cars, rock music, Captain America, and shopping (for shoes especially). Paul was always up for a rock show where he was sure to get a high-five from other fans. More than anything Paul loved his family. Paul met his wife Michelle when he was 20 years old. They enjoyed 35+ years of marriage. He was known as “Pop” to his grandkids and “Big Paul” to his friends.

Calling will be held on Monday, September 2nd from 11:00am-1:00pm and Tuesday, September 3rd from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Barkes, Weaver &Glick on Washington Street in Columbus, IN. Donations can be made in Paul’s memory to Indiana Bulldog Rescue or the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
