Here’s what going on with Interstate 69 week of Sept 3

Lane restrictions and delays can be expected this week as construction continues in the Interstate 69 construction zone.

Indiana Department of Transportation says motorists should be aware of the following work this week on the southside of Indianapolis.

What to expect this week:

Westbound I-465 between U.S. 31/East Street and Harding Street is scheduled for a nightly single-lane restriction from Tuesday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for bridge work and crew access to and from the construction site.

Westbound I-465 between U.S. 31/East Street and Harding Street will be reduced to one lane with 20-minute stops on Friday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for overhead box truss placement. This single-lane condition is expected to cause delays. Use an alternate route if possible.

One lane will be closed on southbound I-69 between Southport Road and County Line Road from Friday through Monday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for paving work.

Reminders:

Entrance and exit ramps on the east side of Harding Street at I-465 are closed. These closures are expected through mid-October for ramp reconstruction.

The westbound I-465 exit ramp to Mann Road (Exit 7) will remain closed until early October for pavement reconstruction. Motorists needing to access Mann Road from westbound I-465 should exit at Kentucky Avenue/State Road 67 (Exit 8).

The southbound U.S. 31/East Street entrance ramp to westbound I-465 will remain closed into late 2024.
