Minnie Brugger

Minnie K. Brugger, 89, of Greenwood, Indiana, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished grandmother, known affectionately as “GaGa Minnie,” passed away peacefully in her home on August 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 23, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Philmer &Bessie Meisberger.

Family was always the bedrock of Minnie’s life, and she dedicated herself entirely to nurturing those she loved. Her warmth and selflessness made her a beacon of comfort for all who entered her home. It was said that to know her was to love her; Minnie had an unending capacity for generosity, always eager to feed anyone and everyone who happened to stop by.

Minnie found immense joy in her backyard garden and was renowned for her culinary skills, particularly her famous chili. Summers were spent joyously with family, friends, and neighbors gathered around the family pool, creating an atmosphere of laughter and love.

Professionally, she held a special passion for her time at Silhouette Health Studios, where she served as a lifelong member and instructor. She also cherished her time working alongside her sister Jean in their family business, J&M Cleaning Service.

Minnie was known for her giving spirit, loving demeanor, hardworking nature, and her acceptance of everyone she encountered. Her legacy is one of kindness and a heartfelt commitment to making sure others felt comfortable and happy in her presence.

She leaves behind a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. In remembering Minnie K. Brugger, we celebrate a life dedicated to love, family, and the happiness of others. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Minnie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years; Lou Brugger, children; Greg (Jennifer) Brugger, Candi (Dan) Spomar and Todd (Andrea) Brugger, grandchildren; Zachary, Areanna, Sara, Evan, Andrew, Sophia, Adam, Maddie &Sybi, along with her sisters; Sue Sauter, Dianna (Tom) Poole, and Beth Ann Cumberworth.

Minnie is preceded in death by her sisters; Billie, Jean, Mary Jo, Judy, &Donna.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Service &Crematory, with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00 pm in the funeral home.
