People who want to volunteer and organizations looking for help can connect during an upcoming event.
Leadership Johnson County will host an event designed to connect youth and adults who want to volunteer with the nonprofits who need them at the All Aboard Community Volunteer and Board Fair. Dozens of nonprofits that need help will be on hand to share how locals can help give back to the community.
The event will be held Sept. 18 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym at Whiteland Community High School. Event-goers should enter the Auxiliary Gym parking lot from US 31 (at the Big Splash carwash) and follow the LJC/All Aboard signs to event room.
The event is sponsored by Whiteland Community High School and Yard Signs and is free to attend for both nonprofits and community members.
