Grizzly Cubs sweep Warriors

Franklin was a 25-10, 25-21, 25-9 victory over visiting Whiteland on Tuesday. Rose Mahin had 17 kills, 17 digs and six aces for the Grizzly Cubs (11-1, 4-0 Mid-State), while Karlin Burton delivered 26 assists. The Warriors drop to 2-10 overall and 2-2 in league play.

Center Grove falls to Royals

Class 4A No. 7 Center Grove was defeated by 3A No. 2 Roncalli for the second time in four days, suffering a 25-15, 25-18, 12-25, 25-12 setback.

Trojans beat Franklin, Columbus North

Led by a 34 from Magnolia Miller, eighth-ranked Center Grove topped No. 6 Franklin 154-171 at The Legends on Tuesday in a match that also featured Columbus North (194). The Trojans also got rounds of 40 from London Dodson, Zoe Land and Madisyn Bell in the victory. Lexi Ray led Franklin with a 38, followed by Addi Bright and Reese Phillips at 43 and Cassidy Rucker at 47.

Braves, Lancers beaten by Spartans

Emily Hogue was the individual medalist with a 48, but Indian Creek took a 217-218 loss to Southwestern. Macie Blandford shot a 56 to lead Edinburgh, which did not post a team score in the match.

Woodmen edge Creek

Greenwood pulled out a 3-2 victory over Indian Creek on Tuesday. Carter Chatham, Nick Pruett and Keegan Lane claimed the singles points for the Woodmen (7-5), with Chatham rallying past Grant Dalton 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. The Braves took both doubles points, with Mason Frische and Trevor Cravens winning at No. 1 and Aaron Hickson and A.J. Emenhiser coming out on top in the second spot.

Center Grove tops Roncalli

Class 3A No. 11 Center Grove was a 5-1 winner over Roncalli on Tuesday. Mia Marlin tallied a pair of goals for the Trojans (6-1), while Sadie McLaughlin, Aubrie LeMasters and Brooklyn Brown each scored once. Goalkeeper Anderson Broshears made five saves in the win.

Volleyball swept by DePauw

Franklin College lost at DePauw on Tuesday, 25-17, 25-10, 25-21. Kaitlyn Lavy had 10 kills in defeat for the Grizzlies (3-6).

Men’s soccer comes up short

Host Franklin College ended a three-match homestand with a 2-0 loss to Principia, falling to 0-4-1 on the season.
