Franklin College honors recipients

Franklin College sophomores Nathan Jones and Zachary Schreiner were presented with the Laurels and Lancers Awards during the annual Opening Convocation and Bell Ceremony. Each year, Franklin College recognizes two outstanding students for their first-year academic and campus-community achievements.

Jones, a Brownsburg native, carries an impressive academic schedule, majoring in political science, accounting and Spanish, with a pre-law designation. Outside of the classroom, he is a member of FC Singers, the Men’s Chorus and serves as treasurer of Alpha Lambda Delta, an honor society that recognizes first-year academic success. Jones was named to the dean’s list and the president’s list during his first two semesters on campus.

Schreiner, a native of Indianapolis, attended Franklin Central High School. He is pursuing a double major in actuarial science and data science. His academic excellence resulted in being named to the dean’s list and the president’s list during his first two semesters at Franklin College. Schreiner is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, the FC Band, the Men’s Chorus and the FC Drumline. He is also a member of the college’s esports team.
