Girls golf

Warriors top Woodmen

Whiteland totaled a 232 to come out on top against Greenwood on Monday. Layla Newport led a balanced Warrior lineup with a 57, Bri Humphress and Gracie Doyle each shot 58 and Riley Luttman carded a 59. The Woodmen did not have enough golfers to put up a team score.

Grizzly Cubs edge Quakers

Senior Reese Phillips led the way with a 35 as No. 6 Franklin topped 15th-ranked Plainfield at The Legends, 157-163. Addi Bright and Lexi Ray contributed matching 38s for the Grizzly Cubs, while Cassidy Rucker added a 46.

Trojans handle Falcons

Eighth-ranked Center Grove breezed to a 163-241 win over Perry Meridian at Hickory Stick. Magnolia Miller finished with a 39 for the Trojans, followed by London Dodson at 40, Madisyn Bell at 41 and Amanda Wallace with a 43.

Braves get past Hornets

Indian Creek was a 216-255 winner over Beech Grove at Tameka Woods. Emily Hogue was the medalist with a 49 for the Braves, with Haylie Knight and Shelby Roach adding rounds of 53 and 54, respectively.

Center Grove wins in four

Class 4A No. 7 Center Grove emerged with a 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 25-11 victory at Fishers on Monday. The win boosts the Trojans’ record to 13-5 for the year.

Edinburgh falls in three sets

Despite 10 kills and 25 digs from Kenna Streeval, Edinburgh suffered a 25-18, 25-11, 25-13 loss to South Decatur. Kinzie Purvis had 16 assists and three blocks for the Lancers.

Lancers defeated by Jets

Edinburgh lost to Hauser on Monday, 4-1. Bailey Totten picked up the lone point for the Lancers, rallying from a set down and winning his No. 1 singles match in a super tiebreak.

Girls soccer

Whiteland blanks Cardinals

Addison Emberton posted her eighth shutout win of the season as Whiteland coasted past Southport on Monday, 6-0. The Warriors improve to 8-2 on the year.
