MORGANTOWN
Daniel K. Jones, “Danny”, age 51, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday afternoon, September 21, 2024, at Franciscan Health Center in Indianapolis.
Danny was born in Beech Grove on May 13, 1973, to Gerald W. Jones and Marion Van Vlymen Jones. He was a proud Eagle Scout and 1991 graduate of Center Grove High School. He worked most of his life as a machinist and most recently worked for Reliant Engineering in Indianapolis. He enjoyed camping with his family and restoring old cars, old tractors, and old engines. He was a member of The London Fly Wheelers, Johnson County Antique Machinery Association and the Morgan County Antique Machinery Association.
Survivors include his wife of over 32 years, Carla D. Briley Jones of Morgantown; one daughter, Kristine L. Kruger (Brandon) of Franklin; one son, Justin G. Jones of Franklin; his parents, Gary and Marion Jones of Greenwood; one grandson, Lincoln Kruger of Franklin; one sister, Deborah Gearhart of Harrisburg, PA; three nephews, Isaiah Gearhart, Micah Gearhart and Joshua Gearhart (Kirsten).
Danny was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Jones.
Funeral services for Daniel K. Jones will be held on Saturday, September 28 at 11:00AM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Services and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Friday evening, September 27 from 4:00-8:00PM and again on Saturday morning, September 28 from 10:00AM until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
