Lane closure planned on SR 135 in Greenwood

One lane on State Road 135 in Greenwood will be closed next week.

Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors plans to close the right lane of southbound State Road 135 from Sable Ridge Lane to Fry Road on or after Monday to continue work on a bridge replacement project on Fry Road. This work is part of a $2.4 million contract awarded to Milestone in February 2024.

The right lane of southbound State Road 135 is expected to remain closed for up to 30 days, weather permitting, according to INDOT. Motorists will be unable to use the northern-most left turn lane from westbound Fry Road located east of State Road 135 to southbound State Road 135 while the lane closure is in place.

Message boards and traffic barrels will be utilized throughout the duration of the lane closure.

INDOT officials remind drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.

All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
