Richard J. Boaz

INDIANAPOLIS

Richard “Dick” J. Boaz, age 60, of Indianapolis, passed away September 22, 2024. He was born on April 16, 1964 in Franklin, Indiana, to Richard E. and Judith Boaz.

Dick graduated from Greenwood High School in 1982, where he played tennis and golf, and played a season of tennis for Indiana Central, now known as the University of Indianapolis.

He worked in several sales positions, as well as working for the Indiana Port Authority. He spent the last 22 years working with his father at Lightning Two-Way Radio. Dick loved the Indianapolis Colts, the Chicago White Sox, and NASCAR. He was known as a kind and giving person who was funny and blessed with family and many friends.

Dick is survived by his father: Richard E. Boaz; brother: Tab A. (Teresa) Boaz; nephews: Ryan, Joshua, Erik, Avery, and Austin Boaz; cousins: Ron (Carey), Mike, and Jeff (Jacque) Drake; great-nieces: Eliyah, Gwindolyn, Elenore, Eden, and Emily Boaz; as well as great-nephews: Jacob, and Leland Boaz.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Judy Boaz; and brother: Brian Boaz.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service &Crematory, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood, Indiana, 46142, with a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 620 W. Main St., Greenwood. Following the graveside service, the family invites friends to join them for lunch at the American Legion Post 252, 334 US 31 S, Greenwood.
