Trojans sweep regional semifinal

Fourth-ranked Center Grove rolled into the regional championship match on its home courts with a 5-0 victory over Triton Central on Tuesday. The most closely contested point came at first doubles, where Trojans’ duo of Carson Bush and Daksh Patel earned a 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 win over the Tigers’ Max Crouse and Connor Evans. Each of the other matches were decided in two quick sets, with Center Grove dropping just three games across the board. Tyler Lane, Yuvraj Dasari and Quinn Smith all came out on top in singles play, with Russell Dean and Jack Dybwad earning a point at second doubles.

The Trojans face Connersville for the regional crown on Wednesday.

Girls volleyball

Lancers top Jets in three

Edinburgh put together its best performance of the season in a 25-19, 25-19, 26-24 sweep of Hauser on Tuesday. Kenna Streeval had 16 kills and 20 digs for the Lancers, who also got 23 assists from Kinzie Purvis.

Franklin College

Men’s golf finishes 14th

Franklin College battled a difficult field in the Battle at Broadmoor, a 54-hole event that concluded Tuesday in Indianapolis, and finished 14th in the team standings to close out the fall season. Freshman Tyler Young led the Grizzlies with a three-round total of 229, good for 27th individually.
