GREENWOOD
Barbara Jean Clampitt, 90, of Greenwood, passed away on October 6, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Estel J. and Pansy Griffin Board. She went to and graduated from Southport High school in Indianapolis, Indiana and was employed for 40 years at Eli Lilly in the security department. She enjoyed Gardening, baking cakes for the incarcerated, making different types of receipts she found and enjoying her worship in her home church of Southport Heights Christian Church. Along with other religious sermons and activities on a regular daily basis.
She is survived by her best friend and Sister Alice Davis, her step daughter Dee Camic, 2 grandchildren Chris and Melissa Camic along with 2 nieces, 3 great nieces and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Bill Clampitt.
Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. with the funeral service at 1:00 PM. She will be entombed at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
