Makenzie Nichole Ford

Makenzie Nichole Ford, 30 of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away on October 5, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Franklin, Indiana on August 29, 1994. She was the daughter of Duane E. Ford and Chastity (Stapleton) Ford of Edinburgh, Indiana.

Kenzie is survived by her mother, husband, David Franz, brother, Dalton E. Ford of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandparents Kathy and Allen Flynn of Edinburgh, Indiana, Donnie Stapleton of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Brenda Ford of Dover, Tennessee along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, and grandparents Mirna Stapleton and Mike Ford.

Kenzie, as she was affectionately known, was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout her life.

She graduated from Edinburgh High School in 2013 and pursued a career in dental assistance at Ivy Tech. Her commitment to helping others shone brightly in her professional life, where she worked as a dental assistant and was studying to become a dental hygienist. Those who knew Kenzie will remember her for her vibrant personality and her selfless nature. She had a heart of gold and always placed the needs of others above her own. Kenzie enjoyed cooking, cherished time spent with her family and friends, and loved being near the water. Her dog, Nova, held a special place in her heart.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Matt Tucker at 11:00am Friday October 11, 2024 at Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Viewing will be on Thursday October 10, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm at Who So Ever Will Community Church and from 10:00am until time of service on Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
