Lewis “Louie” Richardson, 65, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his home in the morning hours of October 7th, 2024. Louie was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on December 3rd, 1958 to Glen E. Richardson and the late Maggie C. (Wallen) Richardson.

Louie graduated from Whiteland Community High School with the Class of 1977. He also attended courses at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis. While at Whiteland, Louie met the love of his life, Kathy, in 1975 and the two were married for 46 wonderful years.

After high school, Louie worked for 18 years at Norplex in Franklin, Indiana before opening his own business, Richardson Job Shop, which he ran for almost 25 years. Many people over the years would say that he was one of the most creative and hard-working individuals they had ever met.

Louie’s biggest passion was riding motorcycles, and he was a member of the now defunct Jazzy Brothers MC. Other hobbies include cooking, fishing, and listening to music.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Richardson, his children Michael Richardson and Edward Richardson (Megan), his granddaughter Lillian Richardson, his father Glen Richardson, his sisters Paula McKinney (Mike) and Rita Jones (Kendall), his brother Daniel Richardson (Melinda). He was preceded in death by his Mother Maggie Richardson and his grandparents L.C. and Irene Richardson.

The Family would like to offer their thanks to the doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals at St. Francis Community Hospital and Hospice Care.

Services will be held at Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation ~ Whiteland Chapel on Friday, October 11th. Visitation from 11am-1pm and Service from 1pm to 2pm. After the service and per his wishes, he will be cremated and returned home to his wife.
