Open house set for Main Street Streetscape project in Greenwood

An open house on streetscape work planned for Greenwood’s Main Street is set for next week.

The city’s Department of Community Development Services and engineers will hold an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Greenwood City Center, 300 S. Madison Ave. The open house will take place inside the city council chambers, city officials say.

The Main Street Streetscape project is set to start in 2025. Roadway, streetscape and pedestrian improvements will take place between Meridian and Polk streets, according to the city.

At the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to talk with city planners, view project renderings and learn about construction details.
