Kara Leigh Sexton

Kara Leigh Sexton, aged 43, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Alamo, CA.

Born on November 23, 1980, Kara dedicated 11 years of her life to nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher at Webb Elementary, Sawmill Woods Elementary, and Break-O-Day Elementary.

Kara was a beacon of kindness and compassion, described by those who knew her as a loving mother and wife. Her life was a profound embodiment of care as she focused all her energy on her daughters and extended family, always striving to provide them with love and support.

She is survived by her husband, Brent Sexton, and their two daughters, Lucy Sexton, 10, and Emma Sexton, 8, father, Jim Frazita, step-mother, Sherri Jackson, her sister, Krista Frazita-Cohendet, brother-in-law, Chris Cohendet, nephews, Will, Henry, Max, and Alex Cohendet, father-in-law, Darrell Sexton and brother-in-law, Chad Sexton. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cindy Frazita.

Kara’s hobbies included exercising, traveling, and spending quality time with her family, which brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

A service to celebrate Kara’s life will be held at Flinn &Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin, IN on Sunday, October 27th at 2:30 p.m. with Visitation for family and friends on Sunday, October 27th from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the UCSF Brain Tumor Clinic or contributions to the Head for the Cure event in San Francisco, which supports brain tumor research. These causes are close to the families’ heart, reflecting Kara’s enduring spirit and commitment to helping others even in remembrance.
