US Senate debate featuring two candidates set for tonight

Two of the three candidates running for U.S. Senate will face off in a debate tonight.

The Indiana Debate Commission will host a U.S. Senate debate from 7 to 8 p.m. It will be broadcast live from from the WISH-TV and Circle City Broadcasting Entertainment Studios in downtown Indianapolis, according to the IDC. The seat is open, as the current office holder Republican U.S. Sen. Mike Braun is running for Indiana Governor.

Two candidates have accepted the invitation to participate: Democrat Dr. Valerie McCray and Libertarian Andy Horning. Republican candidate U.S. Rep. Jim Banks, R-Indiana, is not listed as participating by the commission.

Laura Merrifield Wilson, a University of Indianapolis political science professor and WICR radio host, will moderate the debate.
