Wondering what to do with carved pumpkins now that Halloween is over?
The Johnson County Recycling District has a solution to recycle them.
Johnson County residents can bring their pumpkins to the Franklin Recycling Center, 900 Arvin Drive, to be composted. Residents can dispose of their pumpkins for free pumpkin throughout the month of November.
Turning the pumpkins into compost will help enrich the soil and keep the organic waste out of the trash.
