Wanda Caraboa Williams

Wanda Caraboa Williams passed away peacefully in her sleep after a decade-long dementia diagnosis. Her first husband of more than 40 years, John Caraboa, passed away in 1994. Her second husband of 26 years, Edward Williams, passed away a year ago.

Wanda loved and was loved by her children Jim Caraboa, Susy (Andy) Ferrand, Julia (Mark) Saltsgaver, Linda (Geoff) Colwell and Janet Caraboa. The same was true for eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carsie B. and Hattie (Stephens) Bennett and her siblings Stephen Bennett and Idelle Ziamba. She is survived by her brother Gerald Bennett.

Born in Jamestown, Kentucky, her early years were spent in northern Kentucky before moving to Greensburg, IN. She was a 1950 graduate of Greensburg High School. Wanda was a hardworking woman who held different jobs while her children were young. She and John partnered to build custom homes in Greenwood and Indianapolis’ south side. She was a highly successful real estate broker for nearly 3 decades.

A visitation will take place Friday May 3, 2024, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood, from 12 pm (noon) to 1:30pm. A funeral will immediately follow the visitation. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
