Bobby G. Duffer

TRAFALGAR, IN.

Bobby G. Duffer, 88 of Trafalgar, IN passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Ottberbien Franklin Seniorlife Community.

He was born August 2, 1935 in Lafayette, TN to the late Reggie and Frankie (Rollin) Duffer. He married Mary Ruth (Riley) Duffer on June 21, 1953 in Martinsville, IN; she preceded him in death on July 21, 2017.

Bobby retired from Sodrel Truck Lines in Indianapolis for 25 years as a truck driver. He previously had been a truck driver for Red Gold Canning Factory in Trafalgar from 1953 until 1980.

After retirement, he loved working in his garden and enjoyed sharing his vegetables and of course his advice. He never tired from his endless trucking stories.

Bobby will be lovingly remembered by his son Johnny Duffer of Greenwood, IN, his grandson Justin Perry (Jasmin) of Trafalgar, IN, Stacy Hogue (Bobby) of Trafalgar, IN, Neal Tanner of Greenwood, IN, Kim Kersey (Chris) of Greenwood, IN, Dustin Keith Duffer of Lafayette, TN, great grandchildren Cambrie Perry, Hanna Kersey, Olivia Kersey, Emily Hogue and Cody Tanner, and his special dear friend Alberta Farr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his five children Robert G. Duffer, David A. Duffer, Cindy Duffer, Joanna Cravens and Mary J. Tanner, brothers Roy Duffer and sisters Norva Hoskins and Lois Duffer.

arr who gave so much time and helping with his care. His sunshine was his great granddaughter Cambri Perry who made him smile daily.

Chaplain Deb Baker will conduct a service on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 12 Noon at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com. Friends may call Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10AM until service time at the mortuary. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
