Billy E. Harmon, 61, of Edinburgh, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 6, 1952, in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
He was the son of the late Edward “Eddie Joe” Harmon and surviving Ida Pearl (Rooks) Bryant of Edinburgh.
He married Charlotte (Walker) Harmon on Aug. 20, 1971.
Survivors include his sons, William “Bill” (Mary) Harmon of McCordsville, Eddie Dale (Bonnie) Harmom of North Vernon; brothers, Richie Bryant of Pendleton, Michael (Elizabeth) Harmon of Edinburgh; stepbrother, Buddy (Anita) Littlejohn of Columbus; stepsisters, Diane (Richard) Kanouse of Connersville and Cathy (Shawn) Pass of Nineveh.
He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Ronald Bryant; brothers, Jeffery Harmon and Ronnie Harmon; and sister, Patricia J. Richardson.
He was in the Air Force. He was proud of being a veteran.
He attended Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church and was formerly employed at Franklin Power as a truck driver. He was a former member of the Double Y Saddle Club. He volunteered at the USO at Camp Atterbury and enjoyed shooting pool and being a snowbird.
Calling is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Who-So-Ever Will Community Church. The Rev. Lewis Burton will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
