GREENWOOD
John Arthur French, 75, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014.
John was born July 29, 1939, to the late Charles Clarence and Elizabeth (Horton) French in Richmond.
John married Janice Y. (Brooks) French on June 16, 1963, in Indianapolis.
He was employed for 24 years as a custodian for Greenwood Community Schools, retiring in 2007.
John is survived by his wife, Janice Y. French; a daughter, E. Ellen (Richard) Stuffle of Plainfield; three sons, John A. French II and Delbert L. French, both of Indianapolis, and Raymond C.(Julie) French of Greenwood; three brothers, Gayle H. (Nancy) French of Marion, Ohio, Richard J. (Norma) French of Spiceland and Bert C. (Regina) French of Louisville, Kentucky; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and a brother, Howard L. French.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the mortuary. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
