Mark W. Mellencamp

Mark W. Mellencamp, 54, of Greenwood, passed away on Thursday morning, Dec. 10, 2015.

He was born Feb. 14, 1961, in Franklin, to William L. and B. Sharlene Mellencamp.

He married Michelle Bouchard on June 8, 1991, in Greenwood.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Mellencamp of Greenwood; four sons, Connor Mellencamp, Kagan Mellencamp, Alaric Gough and Alex Campbell, all of Greenwood; one brother, Philip L. Mellencamp (Michal) of Whitestown; one sister, Paula Hauch (Larry) of Greenwood; aunt and uncle, Charles and Betty Mellencamp of Greenwood; cousins, Elizabeth Johnson and Rebecca Chan-Mellencamp; nieces and nephews, Kayli Mellencamp, Madison Mellencamp, Shelby Overstreet, Cassy Hauch, Alexis Bouchard, Sydney Bouchard, A.J. Mellencamp and Ari Mellencamp.

Mark was a senior software engineer for nearly 20 years at Interactive Intelligence in Indianapolis.

He attended Greenwood Presbyterian Church and was a member of the choir.

Mark was a mentor to many of his children’s friends and was like a father to many of them. He was a very loving husband who always put his family above himself.

Calling hours will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Rev. Cheryl Montgomery will officiate a celebration of life service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Main St., Greenwood.
