Marie Miller, 95, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, in Franklin. She was a longtime resident of Franklin.

She was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Frank and Marie (Rottinghause) Pritchard.

Marie is survived by her children, Anna Marie Miller of Franklin, Terry Miller of Morgantown and Betty (Mike) Bay of Franklin; six grandchildren, James (Kari) Miller III of Avon, Trina (Donald) Asher of Nashville, Angela Miller of Greenwood, Richy (Suzanne) Lentz of McCordsville, Jessica (Travis) Hogan of Franklin and Kenny Hammond of Nashville; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; son, James A. Miller II; and seven brothers, Frank, Edward, Bill, Jack, Earl, Albert and Richard Pritchard; one sister, Lillian Fisschesser; and granddaughter, Carrie Hammond.

She was employed for 31 years at Bendix Corp. in Franklin, retiring in 1984. After retirement, she worked for Johnson Memorial Hospital in the cafeteria for several years. She later was employed by the Franklin Community School Corporation in the cafeteria at Custer Baker Middle School.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign War in Whiteland.

Marie was an enthusiastic participant of the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life in Johnson County. Marie was a three time cancer survivor.

She lived for her children and grandchildren, always loving to spend time with family and friends. She enjoyed gardening.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 114 Lancelot Drive, Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
