Shoplifting

Kohls, 415 Mallory Parkway: A loss prevention officer reported at 5:58 p.m. Thursday that a woman attempted to steal clothing. She was arrested.

Fraud

800 block of S. Cornerstone Drive: A man reported at 2:15 p.m. Thursday that someone called purporting to be his grandson called asking for bail money. The call was fraudulent.

Property damage accident

7:46 p.m. Thursday — State Road 44 and Lovers Lane.

Shoplifting

Kohls, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 11:29 p.m. Thursday to a report of shoplifting. Two women were issued summons to appear in court.

Thefts

  • Target, 895 S. State Road 135: Police responded at 6:49 p.m. Thursday to a report of theft.
  • 100 block of Dresden Drive: Police responded at 6:01 a.m. Friday to a report of theft from a vehicle.

  • 5:54 p.m. Tuesday — Main Street and Sheek Road.
  • 11:31 a.m. Tuesday — Averitt Road and Apryl Drive.

  • 10:34 a.m. Tuesday — County Line Road and U.S. 31S.
  • 8:51 a.m. Tuesday — U.S. 31 North, and Carr Street.
  • 8:27 p.m. Monday — U.S. 31 North, and Whiteland Road.
  • 5:50 p.m. Monday — State Road 135S., and Meridian Parke Drive.
  • 2:43 p.m. Monday — 1200 block of U.S. 31.

Johnson County

Shoplifting

CVS, 655 U.S. 31 South, Greenwood: A manager reported at 5:33 p.m. Thursday that a customer stole 10 bottles of alcohol.

Jail bookings

The following people recently were arrested and booked into the Johnson County Jail:

Lucas Alexander Perkins, 30, 3934 Morrison Road, Helmsburg; arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court; released on $1,000 bond.

Dillon Joe Pate, 26, 648 N. Main St., Franklin; arrested on an out of county warrant;held without bond.

Teresa M. Noll, 34, 1037 Fisher Lane, Mt. Washington, Kentucky; arrested on charges of theft/receiving stolen property and possession of methamphetamine; held on $2,200 bond.

Tania Chaves, 24, 1822 N. Alton Ave., Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of auto theft/receiving stolen parts; held on $1,200 bond.

Joseph Thomas Mayhew, 32, 109 Franklin St., Edinburgh; arrested on a charge of restricted use of a drug injection device; held on $1,200 bond.

Christoper A. Leynes, 27, 3308 Smith Road, Nashville; arrested on a charge of restricted use of a drug injection device and possession of paraphernalia; held on $2,000 bond. 

Misty D. Napier, 32, 405 Morris St., Apt.B, Edinburgh; arrested on a charge of dealing in methamphetamine; released on $3,000 bond.

Gary A. VanVleet, 53, 2453 Cottage Ave., Needham; arrested on a charge of violation of probation; held without bond.

Ricky Dean Wagers, 35, 2918 E. Sumner Ave., Indianapolis; arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court; held on $900 bond.

Gerrod Allen Sizemore, 40, 3499 Townsend Place, North Vernon; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended with a previous conviction and an out of county warrant; held without bond.
