About 2,900 Center Grove Area residents were without power for more than an hour Monday morning after a brief power outage.
Johnson County REMC customers in the northern Center Grove area along Fairview and Olive Branch roads lost power just after 8 a.m. after a substation servicing the area lost its connection with Hoosier Energy, Johnson County REMC Director of Engineering Kevin Shelly said.
The cause of that disconnection isn’t known, he said.
The final customers were reconnected by 9:40 a.m. after Johnson County REMC rerouted power from other substations, Shelly said.
