Former Trojans standout going into hoops hall

Nikki (Anderson) Cerbone, a former Center Grove girls basketball standout, was one of 11 players named as part of the 2017 women’s induction class by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.

Cerbone will be inducted during a ceremony on April 29, 2017.

When she graduated in 1987, Cerbone was Johnson County’s all-time scoring leader with 1,347 career points. She remains atop the Trojans’ career scoring list and also finished with 662 career rebounds, averaging over 20 points and 10 rebounds per game during both her junior and senior seasons.

An Indiana All-Star in 1987, Cerbone went on to play four seasons at Butler University, where she totaled 1,128 points.

She now lives in Indianapolis and is an assistant girls basketball coach at Franklin Central.
