Letter: Lawmakers need to be held accountable

To the editor:

For many generations the leaders of our federal government have followed a sad and tragic pattern by the manner in which they handle the money we the people place in their trust.

The theme in Washington appears to be: borrow money to get out of debt.

Many people in this land we love have followed this example and now are unable to meet their obligations. But the lawmakers in Washington have passed laws that hold us citizens responsible.

But these same leaders refuse to be accountable for the money we place in their care through the paying of taxes. We have permitted our elected leaders to make us look like fools.

This can and must change! Please express your anger and outrage about this terrible injustice!
