Hearts & Darts – August 14

I would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Peggy Kovach for being there when I needed her for the last 36 years. I could not have had a better doctor than you, and you will be greatly missed by me and my family when you retire in September. I hope you and your family have a great time together. You will be missed by many people — your nurses that work with you and the people at the front desk. Again, thank you very much.

Greenwood

Hearts to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office for the placement of a radar trailer in our neighborhood. Some drivers noticed their flashing speed and slowed down.

A big thank-you to Jim (an employee of Berry Plastics), who was in Walmart in the early morning of Aug. 5 for helping me out to my car with my groceries. I have a broken leg and needed someone to help me out with my groceries to my car. I was going to ask an employee to help me but, before I did, Jim, who was in front of me at the checkout, asked if he could help me. That was so so nice of him. There still are some nice and caring people in this world!

Darts to those in our neighborhood who ignored their flashing speed on the radar trailer; especially local neighbors and young mothers on their cellphones with children in the vehicle.
