GREENWOOD

Patricia Ann Cave of Greenwood, IN passed peacefully on September 22, 2017 at the age of 92.

Born on June 22, 1925 to Harry “Babe” and Nelle (Dixon) Moore in West Baden, Indiana, she was the eldest of three girls with twin sisters Ann (Moore) Daniels and the late Rusty (Moore) Thompson. She had fond memories of spending summers atMackinac Islandwhen her father was working there.

After graduating fromFrench LickHigh School in 1943 she attended Indiana Business College and worked as a secretary at Pure Oil Company. Pat married her high school classmate, Marvin Cave, on March 30, 1947.

Pat enjoyed summer trips to the Northwoods of Wisconsin where she spent many happy days with her children, grandchildren and friends. No visit was complete without one of Pat’s wonderful fried walleye fish dinners.

She also enjoyed wintering in Florida on Longboat Key and more recently on North Hutchinson Island. She loved the view, sound and smell of the ocean much more than the cold Indiana winters.

Pat took special joy in watching her five granddaughters grow from infants to successful young women with families of their own. This joy extended to seeing the arrival of four great-grandchildren.

Pat and Marvin celebrated their 70th anniversary this past spring with a large gathering of family and friends.

A kinder, more gentle-souled person would be hard to find and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
