TRAFALGAR
Joyce C. (Kalsbeck) Gill, age 79, passed away Sunday evening, January 21, 2018 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Trafalgar.
Joyce was born September 28, 1938, in Rochester, New York, to the late Albert and Dorthea (Teetz) Kalsbeck. She was a 1956 graduate of East High School in Rochester and went on to marry James F. "Jim" Gill in August of 1957 in Memphis, Tennessee. He lovingly survives after 60 devoted years of marriage.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Fredric) Ferguson of Trafalgar and James T. (Kami) Gill of Morgantown; grandchildren, Cameron (fiance, Kristin Patterson) Frye of Trafalgar, Cassie (Tyler) Smith of Princes Lakes, Justin Gill of Morgantown, Alexis Swafford and Jessie Swafford both of Morgantown, Mark (Ashley) Ferguson of Trafalgar, Brad Ferguson of Vincennes, Brian and Brandon Ferguson both of Evansville; great grandchildren, Katelyn Frye, Michael Gill, Ronin and Piper Smith.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Howard and Albert Kalsbeck.
Joyce enjoyed antiquing, bird watching and cooking Italian food. She loved being with her family and will be remembered as a history buff.
The Rev. Ben Swopes will conduct a funeral service at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Joyce to the Johnson County Humane Society, 3827 N. Graham Road, Franklin, IN 46131.
