Hearts & Darts – March 26

Hearts to everyone that supported downtown Franklin local businesses through the Love Local campaign during the month of February.

Emily Snyder, executive director for Discover Downtown Franklin and the Discover Downtown Franklin Economic Vitality Committee

The Bridges Alliance of Johnson County sends hearts to Home Bank for their support. Home Bank’s most recent $10,000 donation enables us to provide awareness and education to the community about poverty and offer classes to under-resourced individuals, matching them with resources and allies to get ahead.

Dave Sever, Bridges Alliance of Johnson County Steering Committee

Thank you once again to all the community volunteers who helped with Greenwood Middle School’s annual Reality Store. Many thanks to the GMS PTO for providing a wonderful lunch, and to the eighth-grade parents and several area businesses who helped make this event possible. Also, thank you to the Indiana Women’s Education Foundation for coming up with the Reality Store curriculum to guide us through this experience. As always, the students truly enjoyed this activity and learned a valuable lesson. We could not have done this without the help of our almost 70 volunteers.

Hearts to the Nineveh community and others for coming out to support our chili supper to raise funds for the Nineveh Heritage Scholarship and other events. We would especially like to thank Bob Evans and Mutual Savings Bank for product donations and the Nineveh Masonic Lodge for hosting the event.
