Paul George Moore

Paul George Moore, 90, passed away on Monday, April 16th, 2018. He was a longtime resident of Bargersville, Indiana.

He was born on July 1st, 1927 in Mohawk, Indiana to George M. and Kittie (Long) Moore. Paul married his wife of sixty-eight years, Lois Alene Moore on December 6th 1947. She preceded him in passing on June 26th, 2016. They were blessed by three children, Pauletta Moore of Bargersville; Jim (Vickie) Moore of Bargersville and Don (Julie) Moore of Washington, Indiana. Also surviving are grandchildren Jamey (Elishaba) Hinchman, Jesse (Rod) Payne, Anthony (Holly) Moore, Kyle Moore, Wes Moore, Amanda McGrath, Megan Cosby and Daniel Moore; great-grandchildren, Nikki Payne, Jordan Payne, Nate Hinchman, Mia Hinchman, Xavier Moore, Azlynn Moore, Jaxyn Moore, Kahlyn McGrath, Aliva Moffett, Lincoln Moffett, Melanie Cosby and Kennedy Cosby. He was preceded in passing by his parents and brother, John Wesley Moore.

Paul was a graduate of Center Grove High School and God’s Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was a Welder and owned and operated Moore’s Welding and Repair in Bargersville from the early 1950’s, until his retirement in 1988. After retirement, Paul and Lois enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. They also enjoyed music, attending church concerts.

He was a faithful member of the Franklin Church of the Nazarene. Paul collected and restored Antique cars for many years. He also enjoyed collecting Model Trains.

Rev. Max Downs will conduct a celebration of Paul’s life on Saturday, April 21st at 1:00 p.m. at the Franklin Church of the Nazarene, 140 Branigin Road, Franklin, Indiana 46131. Friends may visit on Saturday, April 21st from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. A graveside service will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery in Franklin. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
