Police ask for help in locating missing teen

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating a Center Grove area teenager.

Isabelle Hitzeman, 17, was reported missing by her parents on Tuesday morning after they found out she had not gone to school at Center Grove High School that day, a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report said. Hitzeman had previously threatened to run away, the report said.

On Tuesday morning, she had picked up a family vehicle that was getting repairs and her family has not seen her since, the report said. Hitzeman has brown hair and is believed to be in a maroon 2000 Jeep Cherokee with a license plate of 600TFR, the report said.

Her location isn’t known at the time, and she could be outside of Johnson County, Sheriff Doug Cox said. Hitzeman had told her family previously that she wanted to live with friends at their house in the country, the report said.
