<p>Get ready to rock like it’s 1975.</p>
<p>When Jambox hits the stage, everything they do — their moves, their vocals, their piercing guitar riffs — is a tribute to what they feel is the pinnacle of rock ‘n’ roll history.</p>
<p>Jambox will be the headlining act of this year’s Daily Journal Franklin Fest. The sounds of Led Zeppelin, Rush, Van Halen and other titans come alive when the Indianapolis-based band takes the stage.</p>
<p>The band will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday in downtown Franklin. Lead singer Eric Rozens took some time to explain the band’s passion for rock, their electric stage show and what to expect from a Jambox show.</p>
<p><strong>What kinds of acts really influenced Jambox and the music you guys play?</strong></p>
<p>"When you think back about the various eras of music you grew up with, you certainly reflect back on the great musicianship as well as the bands and songs that impacted you the most. We often refer to our setlist as music from the rock icons of the ’70s and ’80s. All of the songs we play are a reflection of our personal favorites and some of the greatest classic rock songs of all time."</p>
<p><strong>What is it like being able to take these songs that shaped you as a musician, and perform them live to a crowd?</strong></p>
<p>"It’s a great feeling. The best compliment we receive is when someone says, ‘I thought I was at a concert with all those great bands playing.’ Or, ‘When we came in, I thought a CD was playing.’ We try to replicate songs with a great deal of attention to original tone and vocal styling."</p>
<p><strong>How do you try to engage the audience as you’re performing?</strong></p>
<p>"We have such a great time performing together. The band’s chemistry on stage is undeniable. The songs we play are full of energy, and we try to bring that energy to the crowd during our performances."</p>
<p><strong>What can people expect from a Jambox show?</strong></p>
<p>"If you come see Jambox you can expect to see a group of dedicated, professional musicians performing songs you won’t typically hear other ‘cover bands’ perform. We’re passionate about the songs we play, and that comes through in our performance. You can expect top-notch sound production and a great light show as well. Most importantly, you’ll hear some incredibly great music and have fun doing it!"</p>
