Portia Denise Crowe, 67, passed away at her residence in New Castle on October 12th.
Denise was born on August 24, 1951 to Russel Emory and Carolyn Ann (Montgomery) Crowe in Franklin.
She is survived by brother, Brad (Patricia) Crowe; sister, Susan (Tyrone) Moore; sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Crowe; nieces and nephews, Celeste Renee Crowe, Jessica Wallace, Rick E. Crowe II, Gerald (Alisha) Wallace, Jonathon (Martha) Briggs, Jennifer Mann, Tiffany Joyce Crowe (Aaron) Williams, Kelly Denise Crowe, Ashley Jill Crowe, Brad Arnel Crowe II (Heather), and Stephanie Crowe; and many great nieces and nephews. Denise is preceded in passing by her parents; siblings, Marshall Crowe, Cynthia Crowe, Allen Bruce Crowe, Rick Errol Crowe, and Brian Cornell Crowe.
Denise was a proud Northwood Elementary “Owl”. She graduated from Franklin Community High School in 1969. She was a proud member of the Honor Society at Franklin Community High School.
She retired from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Palmdale, California after 37 faithful years of service as a federal security courier. Denise dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized in Lancaster, California in 2002. She mentored young displaced teens in California and New Castle. She enjoyed the beach. Denise was very respected by her family and friends. She moved to California at the young age of 18. She paved the way for future generations’ independence and success.
Brother Crowe will conduct a celebration of Denise’s life on Saturday, October 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
