Southside art league features Bloomington artist

<p>A Hoosier artist will have her work on display in January at the Southside Art League.</p><p>Kristen Stamper will be exhibiting a collection of impressionistic oil and watercolor paintings in a show entitled “Fresh Air,” most of which will be for sale at the gallery, 299 E. Broadway St., Greenwood.</p><p>The theme of Stamper’s art has become all things pertaining to Hoosier life, especially the individual character of the seasons. She lives in Bloomington and also exhibits at the Brown County Art Gallery.</p><p>She earned her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her masters in education for global e-learning from Texas A&amp;amp;M-Commerce. She is a regular participant in local art events such as the Indiana State Fair, Hoosier Women Artists, West Baden Paint Out and Art of Chocolate. In 2015, she founded Upland Plein Air Painters, based in Bloomington. She is active in the Bloomington Watercolor Society.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]<p>Her work will be on display during normal gallery hours, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.</p><p>An open house for her work will be 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 11. Light refreshments will be served.</p>
