GREENWOOD
Scott Jones, 75, of Greenwood, passed away on December 26, 2018. He was born on July 8, 1943 in Indianapolis.
He was a member of Jubilee Lodge #746 F. & A.M. Whiteland, where he was Past Master. He was also a member of Historic Auto Club where he was Past President, Studebaker Drivers Club, Plymouth Owners Club, and 50 year Club of GWHS, Indianapolis.
He worked for General Motors and Rolls Royce for over 30 years before retirement. After retirement he was a substitute teacher for schools in Johnson County. His favorite past times include spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, playing music, and tinkering with his old cars.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Jones; son, J. Scott (Lisa) Jones of Franklin, Indiana; grandchildren, Amanda (Brian) Snyder, Kurtis Jones, Brandon Reed, and Brett (Christina) Reed; brother, James Jones of Central Point, Oregon; step brothers, Harry (Judy) Kientz and Gene (Judy) Kientz. He was preceded in death by his parents, L. Stanley (Irene) Jones and Eleanore (Art) Hall; step brothers, Steve Hall and David Hall; and step mother, Mickey Jones.
Memorial visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Masonic service and memorial service will be begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2018.
