Madison Kathleen Kristel, 20, 1062 Millstone Court, Franklin, arrested on charges of restricted use of a drug injection device, dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and several warrants for failure to appear in court.

Michael P. Day III, 21, 12478 N. Woodlawn Drive, Martinsville, arrested on charges of driving while suspended with a previous conviction, restricted use of a drug injection device, possession of methamphetamine and dealing methamphetamine.

Scott Thomas Baker, 31, 8856 Bison Club Drive, Apt. C, Indianapolis, arrested on charges of restricted use of a drug injection device, dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.

Gunnar Anthony Cole Shaw, 23, 186 E. Main St., Greenwood, arrested on charges of restricted use of a drug injection device, dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and a warrant to face charges in another county.

A Greenwood police officer stopped the vehicle about 9:30 p.m. Friday on Main Street near Graham Road because the license plate was not registered to the vehicle.

Baker, a passenger, claimed the vehicle belonged to his girlfriend and was recently purchased. No one in the vehicle had a driver’s license, the report said.

Police searched Day and found a needle. Police searched the car and found two bags with methamphetamine and a bag of what the officer believed to be heroin.

A backpack in the vehicle had 40 unused needles in their original packaging, one needle that appeared to be unused but was not packaged and two needles that were filled with a liquid substance. Officers also found 72 dark colored baggies and a scale, the report said.

Five needles and a container with methamphetamine residue were found in a bag where Shaw was sitting in the vehicle. A second scale was also found in the vehicle.

They were arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail.

According to court records, Kristel was arrested in March after she was in a home in Franklin where police found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia such as a pipe and syringes, and a printer with counterfeit money inside. She was charged with possession of a syringe and sentenced to a year of probation, but that had been revoked and she was wanted in court on a failure to appear charge.

Shaw was arrested for possession of marijuana. That case was resolved in July 2018 in Marion County with Shaw sentenced to four days in jail and community service work.

Day has a pending case in Marion County from December on two felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and a needle, according to court records.
