R. Lee Money’s moving tribute to Al Hankins ("Remember Whiteland resident by helping others in need," Jan. 21) made me wish to thank this person for taking the time to write and let those of us who didn’t know Mr. Hankins learn about a fellow community member who, sadly, is no longer with us. R. Lee Money’s heartfelt letter is a gentle reminder that none of us are perfect, we all struggle, and despite our differences, there is good in all of us. And also that kindness truly matters. Thank you and many condolences on the loss of your friend.
