To the editor:
Republicans had majority control of the House and Senate along with President Trump in the White House for two years and funding for a border wall never came up and never caused a government shutdown. Why, now that Democrats have the majority in the House, is immigration suddenly a national crisis warranting shutting down part of the government unless there is funding for a wall?
This shutdown is pure political folly and gamesmanship needs to end.
