Letter: President entitled to ice cream and skepticism

President Trump entitled to 2 scoops of ice cream, skepticism

To the editor:

Recently, criticized for the ‘crime’ of having TWO scoops of ice cream on his cake, President Trump has been taken to task for ignoring advice from his intelligence agencies. In regard to the latter, I would like to offer some personal thoughts.

Recognizing that intelligence data is a not an exact science, I am still reminded of what happened at Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941. Or what occurred on Dec. 16, 1944, which marked the unforeseen opening of the Battle of the Bulge.

What about the non-existent Gulf of Tonkin incident, which started the undeclared and unconstitutional War in Vietnam? Or the (non) existent weapons of mass destruction which opened the present festivities in Iraq?

Remember 9-11?

Finally, bear in mind that John Brennan, (former head of the CIA), was one of 12 to 15 people in the U.S. who once voted the Straight COMMUNIST party ticket.

In light of the above information, I personally feel Donald Trump is entitled to a healthy skepticism of “intelligence” data.

Additionally, I personally feel that as president, Mr. Trump is entitled to (at least) TWO scoops of ice cream…
