Letter: Cartoons shouldn’t encourage using government to build personal savings

In response to the Feb. 25 editorial cartoon:

So, we should use the IRS for our savings account? How smart is that? Who would encourage that? No tax accountant I have known. “The goal, you don’t want to owe. You don’t want to overpay. You’ll get no interest.” Political cartoons should not express the lack of intelligence on the part of the artist, better to express intelligent behavior.
